The Diaper Crinkle

I don’t know if Adrian has touched on this but I want to talk about what I think is probably one of the most attractive features of a diaper to me.  The crinkle of a diaper has to be one of the best sounds in the world.  There is nothing better then putting on a diaper getting up and walking around only to hear that beautiful sound of “crinkle, crinkle”.  It’s such a great sound and it is so unique.  I don’t really know how to explain why the crinkle of a diaper is so great but I am sure many people would agree with me.

Possibly, it has to do with the babyish aspect of wearing diapers in general.  But, I think it also is a sub-conscious thing that you are unique and most everyone around you is not wearing a diaper and you are.  It almost makes you feel special, at least to me it does, and I feel like I stand out and am unique in my own way.  I take a lot of pride honestly in that I wear diapers as I know that I have overcome incontinence in my life by managing it with diapers but also diapers I feel have provided me with so many avenues ranging from a comforting and secure feeling all the way to being able to meet new friends and contribute to the ABDL community.  Plus, incontinence and diapers led me to my amazing girlfriend, Adrian.  Sometimes, you just have to embrace what life throws at you and make the best of it.  If you do that then most times you will find the positive in what looked like a negative and it could be for the best.

Most people would look at incontinence and wearing diapers as a negative.  But, I say, something as simple as the crinkle of a diaper when I am wearing it provides me with a comforting and relaxing feeling in my mind and body that allows me to not only focus better but also concentrate.  Not including all the benefits that diapers can allow, the crinkle alone (something so small) can provide such a major impact in my life.  It’s true that the small things in life are the most precious because without that crinkle of a diaper then a diaper just wouldn’t be well…a diaper.  Yes, it performs the same function but imagine a diaper that made an aluminum foil noise instead…I would hate that and it would be annoying.  I say step back and look at the positives in wearing diapers and not so much what others think because something as simple as the crinkle of a diaper may be providing you with so many positives that you may not even realize.  Think about it :-)

Hey that’s a really good point. That’s exactly the reason I don’t like cloth-like covers. It just doen’t feel like you are getting the whole experience. The soft crinkly plastic feels so much nicer, even under clothing and far more babyish. Great post keep it up!

Great post Peter! There truly is nothing quite like the diaper crinkle. It’s gotta crinkle, otherwise it’s not really a diaper, at least that’s how I see it. Keep up the good work!

Excellent post! I finally went ahead and ordered a sample pack of Bambino Biancos and I have to say I think they are a bit uncomfortable. They are VERY absorbant, but the plastic on the outside is almost too thick and it doesn’t crinkle like I’d hoped. For me, the crinkly sound is almost more important than the absorbancy of the diaper. I like feeling a bulky diaper between my legs, but I can put doublers in to accomplish that. The diaper with the best, loudest crinkle that I’ve found is a cheap brand called First Quality (or something like that). I used to put one on under a pair of thin dress slacks with no underwear on over it and walk into the library, squatting to look at books on the bottom shelf, etc. The crinkle was so loud that there was no way people I walked past would miss it. For me, that’s a bigger rush than wetting in public. I even wore one into the disability assistance office at my college and told the woman there that their nurses office had given me this diaper, and that I was really embarrassed about it because it’s so loud. I asked her if she could tell I was wearing a diaper when I walked in and she said she could, because the noise made it really obvious.

Sorry bambinos, but I’m going to have to stick with cheaper, crinklier diapers.

That wonderful crinkle is indeed a great part of the enjoyment of wearing diapers. I really like hearing it, but not to the point of turning heads everywhere. If it just happens that a stray crinkle gets a bit of notice, well OK. On the other hand I don’t need to advertise to the entire public that I’m wearing. Because there is sometimes a negative attitude toward wearing, why chance being shunned by the un-informed? In the meantime, I’ll still have the gentle whisper and tickle of the crinkle to keep me smiling.

Because I am so new to wearing diapers, I get a really nice feeling just knowing I am wearing a nappy. I wish I could wear them 24/7 and have someone change me. It’s a bit of an anti climax when I use my nappy to its full extent then remember that I have to clean myself up. It would be nice to have someone do it for me. Unfortunately I don’t think that is going to happen. I sort of brouched the question with my wife but putting it in a different subject so as not to give myself away but find out what she thought. She came back with a question for me. “You wouldn’t wear them would you?” Along with the way she said it makes it look like I will be wearing nappies in secret.

I tend to agree, that part of the enjoyment wearing diapers is the crinkle noise you hear. I also believe that it’s the bulk of a diaper adds to the enjoyment. I’m 36 yrs old and I wear diapers as often as I can afford to wear. I’m incontinent, and need to wear diapers. But I have also come to enjoy wearing diapers. I don’t consider myself either an AB or DL. I see nothing sexual about it. If people do, that’s ok. It’s just not sexual for me. My favourite aspect of wearing diapers is that I can pee at will without having to get up and run to the toilet to pee, and interrupt a baseball game or a movie, or whatever. I don’t have to worry about making a mess while I’m enjoying a game or a movie.

    a question and some comments.

First….why are you incon? Second what do you do about needing to change while out in public? Do you carry a bag of some sort with you with the proper changing material? Your blog offers so much insight and inspiration I commend you on it! I am not 24/7 because I am not incon, and though I’ve thought about trying 24/7 I think for my lifestyle the cons weigh just a bit higher than the cons right now. I do wear out in public quite a bit and I also have released enough control to be able to wet and mess in any position or while walking.

Like you I too have found a wonderful woman who is also a part of the community:D

    P.S.

I wore a single Bambino Classico tonight out to the bar with my wife. I let loose a good 5 times full bladder capacity and it wasnt until I got home 6th that it became soggy heavy. Not once did it leak. Also I’ve always noticed the crinkle myself….I love the crinkle as well as the smell of the powder. Bambinos are amazing!

p.s. Huggies has a lotion that is fantastic! For you AB’s try it you’ll see what I mean!

I have recently started to wear a different branded version of the Bambino which I am reliably informed is just as good. I have never worn Bambino’s so I can’t comment on the comparrison, however I wore one of these different ones for 12 hours to see how it would do. I drank a lot during and ate a lot before to give it a full test. I have quite a large bladder and wet 7 times. I allowed myself to mess about 1 hour before I was going to change myself. There was no leaks at all. Not even from my mess which I put to the test my walking around sitting in chairs, getting onto the floor etc. Not a single sleak. I am very impressed with them but I think they are UK only, they are from a company called Cuddlez I think, an AB site. I am not an AB myself but I do really enjoy wearing nappies as and when I can. Not very confident going outside in them just yet, but I really pushed it yesturday when I went shopping with one and was at the till waiting in a long que. I really needed to do a number two, so I thought if I wet myself in the que that would release some of the pressure from a number 2 and I would do that when I got outside to the car. It worked but I was in the que for ages and I just couldn’t wait any longer and messed my nappy big style. I was quite suprised as there was no sound at all and I happen to have my thicker pair of jeans on so the smell held in just long enough to finish paying and get to the car. It felt really strange and exciting knowing I was messing myself whilst standing next to other shoppers. I don’t think anyone noticed. I may even do it again on purpose.

I completely agree, I love that crinkle! For me Bambino diapers are the very best; they are thick enough to give me that diapered feeling and can still be worn under most of my pants and jeans, even my low rise jeans. True, they aren’t the noisest diaper I’ve ever worn but, depending where you are and what you’re wearing over them, they’re noisy enough when you want them to be and still descrete enough when necessary.

I would to say that the cloth like diapers should be used by the ones that are in the hospital or nursing home in other words if you are in a place wear you will be in a bed for a long time then use cloth like adult diapers. I am 38 years old and I have been in diapers all my life so for that reason I am a Diaper Lover and if you are a Diaper Lover or a adult baby then your diaper should be as much as a baby diaper as it can be or as close to one as you can get. Baby diapers in by book don’t work like under wear so why should they look like under wear I rest my case.I can’t talk of the rest of you but I really would like to see them bring back the pink diapers for the girls and the blue diapers for us boys like they had back in the 80’s . think about this if you are going to wear a diaper then buy the cloth ones but if you want to be in diapers then thir is only one way to go and that is all the way and have a plastic covered baby diaper that comes in adult size. Think of this are you in diapers or our you just wearing them ? If you are just wearing them then you can do the cloth covered thing. If you are in diapers then you should be wearing a real diaper like a baby does. I would like to make a point about the cloth covered diapers, take a cloth covered baby diaper and hold it up and take a real good look at it you can see that it is cute, now do the same with a cloth covered adult diaper do you see anything cute about it NO and you NEVER will thir just nothing cute about a cloth covered adult diaper. Well so long for now and keep your diapers on
